The United Nations has said that pollution, climate or environmental changes can be combated by cycling.
According to the details, a resolution has been passed in the United Nations which states that the trend of cycling will be promoted among people to combat pollution and climate or environmental changes.
This resolution was adopted by 193 countries of the world, and was submitted by Turkmenistan to the United Nations.
While cycling is considered to be an excellent form of physical activity or exercise, health experts recommend it, using a bicycle can obviously reduce pollution compared to fuel-powered rides.
In this resolution, the member states of the United Nations are recommended to include bicycles in public transport in urban and rural areas of developed and developing countries.
Increasing safety measures for cyclists on the road and promoting cycling can achieve sustainable development and the global goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Through its proposed resolution, Turkmenistan suggested that whenever and wherever global, regional, and national development policies and programs are formulated around the world, special measures should be taken to promote the trend of cycling.
